Getting Steam Rolled On A3 Wasteland Here is How To Win!

Lately, the MSOF team and I have been trying other Wasteland Servers and have been steamrolling teams of players on these servers. Please note that my comment on crushing other players is not coming from an egotistical claim that we are better than anyone else or just bragging here that we are the best Arma 3 players ever or anything like that. Trust me we are not.  What gives the MSOF crew that winning edge is that we all work together supporting each other as a team.  It is truly a combined arms effort.

What is apparent is that the other team’s nonability to consolidate into a cohesive fighting force is what usually leads to the other team’s demise.  Wasteland is truly a Team Vs Team game mode and sure the game gives you the option to run lone wolf or in small squads on the green team where insurgent / asymmetric warfare is possible but to truly dominate the battlefield and to take and hold territories is truly a team effort.

What I find really weird is that with all the Arma3 Milsim groups out there, is that the Milsim communities don’t take to this game mode?  In my opinion, the A3 Wasteland game mode will allow Milsim groups to hone their tactics against real players in working together.  The fact that you are playing against actual unpredictable players in a very large scale kinetic battlefield is an amazing experience when all cylinders of your team are working together.  For the MSOF  team, we utilize players’ strengths to piece together a cohesive fighting unit. No matter the size of the team even if it is a small 4 man fireteam or squad.

Our Team Profile Usually Looks like this:

• Foot Soldiers /  Medics
• Snipers ATAC controllers
• Transport Helos / QRF support
• Armored Support Tanks and APCs
• Attack Helis
• CAS Jets

Obviously, you have to keep perspective of the ongoing battlefield and where you stand as a fighting unit, and most of all never ever misconstrued enthusiasm for actual capability.
