Battlefield 5 will be released in Fall of 2016

EA has confirmed that Battlefield 5 is in development and that it will be released in Fall of 2016. The game will also be military-themed, according to EA. Which isn’t a surprise — every single Battlefield game to date, with the exception of the upcoming Hardline, has been “military-themed” EA CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed that he has seen the game in action that “it’s shaping up to be a fun, new Battlefield”. He also confirmed that Battlefield 5 will not go the way of Hardline, with its cops-and-robbers style, but will instead be true to BF3 and BF4.

Maybe they wont screw up the net code this time

Recording Battlefield4 videos

Hey guys I know some of you have asked me what I use to record videos so I thought this may be helpful to you.

When I records and edit videos its a three step process meaning:

  1. I have a piece of software that captures the video.
  2. I have to transcode the video into something usable that i can edit.
  3. I edit it with editing software.

I will list the software I use below and explain its use so here goes.

Capturing Video From Battlefield4

To capture the feed from Battlefield4 I use Open Broadcast Software

Open Broadcaster Software is free and open source software for video recording and live streaming. Supported features include:

  • Encoding using H264 (x264) and AAC.
  • Support for Intel Quick Sync Video (QSV) and NVENC.
  • Unlimited number of scenes and sources.
  • Live RTMP streaming to Twitch, YouTube, DailyMotion, XYZ Stream Hosting and more.
  • File output to MP4 or FLV.
  • GPU-based game capture for high performance game streaming.
  • DirectShow capture device support (webcams, capture cards, etc).
  • Windows 8 high speed monitor capture support.
  • Bilinear or lanczos3 resampling.

For some reason my version does not spit out a local file to MP4 so I have to transcode it which is step 2. OBS is what I use to Stream my game play live as well.

Transcoding  Video from Battlefield4

To transcode the video I captured locally onto my desktop with OBS I have to process the video with another piece of software called Media Coder.

I have to transcode the video because for some reason OBS does not create a local MP4 file format for me, it creates an FLV file. My editing program does not understand the FLV file format.
Media Coder will get me the file format I need that my editing software will understand. Once the file is transcoded into an MP4 I amd then able to edit it.

Editing Battlefield4 Video

For editing I use Adobe Premiere.

I am sure there are other programs to edit video like movie maker or whatever this is what I use.
